Perma-Tune warrants Perma-Tune Electronic Ignition Premium modules and distributors (“units”) to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of three years from original purchase by the end user. For Perma-Tune Basic ignition modules, the warranty period is 90 days. During that warranty period, Perma-Tune will, at its option, either repair or replace units that prove to be defective.
This is a factory-direct warranty between Perma-Tune and the end user of the unit bearing proof of purchase. This warranty is nontransferable and limited to the repair or replacement of the original unit only within the United States of America. It does not cover damages resulting from accident or misuse. It does not cover damage to the unit caused by tampering, or damage caused by defective components and wiring external to the unit or damage caused by misuse. This warranty is void outside the United States of America. This warranty is void if the unit is used in any motor sport activity. Except as provided herein, Perma-Tune makes no other warranties, whether written or oral, express or implied. Perma-Tune specifically disclaims implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Only Perma-Tune is authorized to issue warranty exchange units. This warranty gives the end-user specific legal rights, which may vary from state to state or province to province.
It is the intention of Perma-Tune to provide the best customer service in the industry, both to the end user and to resellers of our products. For your convenience we provide technical and warranty support on the phone, text or internet.
We have found in most cases our factory service engineer can resolve Perma-Tune warranty claims without having to exchange the part. We can provide the professional auto technician guidance to quickly troubleshoot the problem. To help resellers of our products give better service, we ask that they direct all technical and warranty inquiries to the factory service line.
Perma-Tune will issue a return authorization when required on warranty claims that cannot be immediately remedied by our service engineer. Perma-Tune will perform analysis of any unit, under warranty or not, free of charge. End users who want a unit tested will be issued a return authorization and will be asked to attach identification to the parts before shipping them to us. If the unit tested is found to be defective and is under warranty a replacement unit will be provided. Warranty replacement units will be shipped via ground service within the Continental United States free of charge or air freight collect to Alaska and Hawaii.
Resellers of Perma-Tune products are not authorized by Perma-Tune Electronics, Inc. to provide warranty exchanges or credits to their customers for Perma-Tune products. Perma-Tune will not accept returns from or issue credits or return authorizations to resellers.
